What is it?
A new service offering members of our community a do-it-yourself way of sourcing domestic staff. We currently have over 4,000 files in our offices containing information gathered by Domesteq over the past four years as well as information given to us by the AWA DSR. In these files there are verified letters of reference, specific information about the workers skills and information on their past remuneration packages. Files are available for viewing by our expatriate clients.
What does this service cost?
All clients are required to pay an annual registration fee of Rs3, 900. Once this is paid there is no additional charge for Archive Access
Who can use this service?
Any client who has a foreign passport may use this service
How does it work?
To get started you need to fill in a client application form. These can be emailed to you or collected at our office in Delhi. Even if you are only interested in using the Archive Access, we ask that you complete this form. The information in it helps us to track trends in our community and you will be automatically put on our mailing list.
There are two components to the Archive Access Service.
1. List of Available Workers registered with Domesteq
Domestic workers, registered with our company, who are looking for a job, are required to stop in at our office in person each Monday in order to be included on our weekly list. The Domesteq team will compile of list of these individuals with their names, job titles and mobile numbers. This list will be released to registered expatriate clients each Tuesday at 12 noon. The list must be collected in person and you must have your client registration card with you. We recommend that clients stop in and view the files of these individuals so they can make an informed decision as to whether they are the right fit for your requirements. Clients are encouraged to contact the candidates directly to arrange interviews. We ask only that you let us know if you hire someone on the list so we can update the files. We regret that this list cannot be sent electronically nor can the information on it be given over the telephone.
2. Access to files of registered domestic workers
Once they have registered with us, our expatriate clients will be given access to our Archive Room where the files of all registered domestic workers are kept. In order to search for a file we will need the full name and mobile number of the potential employee. Any client who has a lead about an available domestic worker (no matter what the source of information) and wishes to see their file for consideration are most welcome to drop in. We will be happy to provide them access to the files so they can make an informed decision when considering taking on a new employee. There will be a staff member present to hand clients the files they request. Files can be viewed on at a time. Members of our community are welcome to come as often as they like, stay as long as they like and access as many files as they wish. However, we regret that files cannot be removed from the office and copies cannot be made. Office hours are 9am-4pm Monday-Friday. |
